Nestled in the midst of 60 acres in Doylestown Pa, stands a mystical castle, an almost mirage like blur in the distance as seen from the pea gravel drive leading up to it. Walking towards its towering statute and entering its reinforced concrete structure, somehow its drip like stucco and stone floors comforted me like a security blanket once inside. With every breath one could feel the juxtaposition of cold hard stone and cave like sanctuary. While meandering through its 44 rooms with hovering circular ceilings of cement, catching glimpses of extraordinary Moravian mosaic tiles placed perfectly in nooks and covered walls with muted colors, the sense of brilliance was present. One tile in particular stood out within a small alcove, in a room filled with light streaming in from a single small wood framed window facing west with the evening sun. It read, “Lucky are those who know the causes of things.” Reading it once, and then turning back to reread it again, I then at that very moment began to understand why I came.
Somewhere along the last 50 years we have forgotten the basis of true health. We lean upon those who seem more educated, more refined, more convincing in order to travel through our illnesses that only we can begin to understand the underlying cause. We can’t blame ourselves, our well-meaning loved ones who want only the best that money can buy, nor can we blame our doctors or society for its fad diets, everchanging scientific evidence and numerous persuaded studies. But we can try to understand that every illness starts with a cause. While we may not be able to find it quickly enough, we can learn how our bodies were meant to function properly, in harmony with the foods we eat, the way we live our lives, in what we do and more importantly what we avoid doing. Maybe it’s something we were supposed to remember from long, long ago. Let’s search for the cause of your ailments together. Call today for your 15-minute complimentary consultation.
